Vinnie Paul is a former singer for the band Pantera, known for his work on their albums Cowboys from Hell and Reinventing the Steel. He was the youngest of the original members of Pantera, having been born in January 1970. After leaving Pantera in August 2003, he formed Damageplan with his brother Dimebag Darrell. In April 2004, Vinnie was shot onstage by a member of Damageplan at a show in Columbus Ohio
He died from injuries sustained from the incident. On December 21, 2004, Darrell was shot and killed in a similar attack in Columbus.
